20 years professional agency experience. In 2001 I began my career designing websites for Zeris Interactive and over the course of time I've seen a lot of changes within the industry.
In 1995, 640px x 480px resolution monitors were the standard. The first home page I designed was only 640 pixels by 480 pixels. A few years later 800px X 600px became the standard screen size. Websites use to be created in tables, then tableless designs emerged. Mobile sites became the rage thanks to the Apple iPhone. Desktop sites and mobile sites existed independently from each other for a while. Next, responsive designs began to take over and years of trial and error ensued. Responsive, grid layouts, fluid responsive and or a combination of responsive approaches emerged. The web continues to change its rules; therefore, you always have to keep learning. Close this window and take a look at some of my work. Thank you for visiting.
NOTE:
The website examples seen here are content managed websites and should closely resemble the live websites (if you are comparing). Once a content managed website goes live the business owner has the ability to edit, change and modify the website.
